Amazing experience!Everyone was great

My experience with Nga Hau has been amazing so far! The support and knowledge I have gained throughout my journey has been amazing and I would recommend them to anyone.They have bathrooms in every room and double beds for partners to stay.I haven’t given birth yet but it makes it more exciting knowing I’m in good hands.

Staff members are friendly, caring, and helpful. They'll try all their best to help you. Unfortunately, things can be really-really slow, like any other services provided by the hospital. The area is well equipped, and well maintained. Just read and follow the direction to avoid getting lost.

Not impressed with the Doctors and specialists at the Womans Assessment Unit.Their arrogance and refusal to consider the needs of the patient and the recommendations of the referring team, I firmly believe they placed my partner and unborn child in unnecessary danger.

If you are lucky enough to have Elizabeth Dunn as your midwife, count yourself indeed blessed! Liz Dunn is a fantastic midwife and we felt very supported and reassured by her calm, confident presence and wealth of experience. We had a very smooth, happy home-birth and it was a magical, empowering experience for our family. Thank you so much!

Wonderful caring place to start the process of giving birth. But it's important to know why the unit exists. The assessment" part means that mum has started pre-labour but isn't actively in-labour yet. So a lot of the time at the unit will be in "observation" or "assessment" monitoring mum. You might even be sent home. This isn't because they don't want you there. It's because research shows that's the safest

Gave birth to my first born here just last Friday and I have recommended this facility to all my friends and family members who are expecting or trying to. My midwife Claire helped me tremendously throughout my pregnancy to labour and aftercare with ease and comfort. I am so happy I chose to come to Ngā Hau instead of the hospital especially with my first born as it helped to ease any worries I had which made my pregnancy run by so smoothly for me and my healthy baby boy. Another big bonus was also allowing dad to stay with us the whole time even staying the night in a queen size bed after labour which helped me and baby a lot ☺️

We couldn't be happier with our choice to have our baby girl here at this wonderful place. Thank you to the amazing staff for all the help and support day and night as well as the yummy meals for my wife, she love it all.

Had a lovely experience at the Women’s Assessment unit today. Staff was really helpful and friendly and the male obstetrician who performed the ECV on my was amazing. He was calming, explained the procedure well and kept checking in that I was feeling ok. The whole thing took under a minute and was not painful. For anyone that feels uncomfortable about an ECV here - don’t be. You will be well taken care of.
