District Council

We would like to commend Eunice at the Kawerau I-site for her helpful manner when she assisted us with info on Kawerau's wonderful motorhome facilities - Good sized/well marked parking spots; free 3 day access to electricity points (and a good number of these); lovely location, especially at Firmin Park where we decided to stay; great walking paths along the Tarawera River bank.We visited the town around Waitangi Day and attended the celebrations in town. A visit to your free swimming pool, including a hot pool, was a great bonus. Nice to see it is free for residents too. The District Council is very far sighted, justifying a tourist detour on the traditional way up from BOP to Rotorua.Eunice has a great attitude and presents a very positive image for Kawerau. Just trying to boost the ratings really. All councils seem to disappoint rate payers so I don’t believe this one is any different from the others.

I have no knowledge of this company and they are trying to charge me Cryptocurrency for no reason.

Lived here in Rangiora 3 years ago and have come back for a weeks holiday.I live in Auckland.If I had the money I'd move down here.Rangiora is so beautiful, so clean, even the public toilets are clean and smell so nice lol.I can't speek highly enough. The people are so friendly.I adore Rangiora. Hope it never changes.

Unless you are Exclusive Brethren, don't expect to have anything done in a reasonable time regarding consents, complaints ect, or to even be taken seriously. Massive conflict of interest present. I'm sure there are some good people here, but a select few letting them down big time.

Super helpful staff, check the opening hours before you head out. Permit is easy as to get and they hive you great info with it as well.

Not. A pleasant one, I along with other residents on Newman Road have been waiting and hoping our road would be sealed for 22 years, Our District Counsellor for the first 10 years fought desperately to get our road sealed due to it already being widened and a busy traffic road especially for heavy vehicles as it is a through road, We were told by council when we purchased our property that it was due to be sealed meaning in the next couple of years, never happened, then the year Waipapa road had a washout, our road was to sealed 1.5km, never happened, recently I was told it will now be at least 2025 as there are more important roading jobs in the queue ahead of ours. In the interim Gallagher road had a complete reseal, right to the end, was a perfectly good road, could have waiting, the major rework done on Rangiatea road, was a perfectly acceptable road for now, could have waited, now I see the surveying being done on Mongaorongo Road to straighten it, perfectly good road, not urgent so WHY DO WE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS DUSTY MUDDY ROAD, WE HAVE BEEN PATIENT, TIME IT WAS OUR TURN TO GET SEALED , not in 2025
