Woof Woof Ruff
This is one of the few parks for dogs. If you don’t like dogs go to the many parks and reserves not for dogs. These canine friendly green areas are a necessity and a joy. Thanks for this one.

Fenced Dog Park
I was so disappointed. The park is fenced but with no rules sign. As a public area, anyone allowed to go in there freely. The owner with aggressive dogs (with no muzzles) said we have to wait after her and she won’t take the responsibility if her dog bites other dogs, which is not fair because my dogs and the dog in the fence all friendly. I really hope the Lloyd elsmore dog park could fix the problem soon.

Ahimate Dog Park
Loved it. It was the first time we have let our older puppy off of the lead and all the other dog owners were encouraging and responsible. We will be going back regularly.

Les Dalton Dog Park
Great dog park. Fully fenced, with a seperate area for smaller or timid dogs. Have been shocked that there's next to noone when we visit!

Craigavon Park
Excellent walking trails. Huge feild/doggy playground. Toilets, benches and picnic areas. Playground for kids. This park has it all.Free (but limited) parking is also available within the grounds. Plenty of parking on street.

Minogue Park Fenced Dog Exercise Area
TOO SMALL. this would perfect for little dogs. Also very muddy due to traffic. Top by tables needs to be gravelled or crushed shell. We need another one for the big dogs. Check out South Island ones, Kaiapoi (excellent) and Rangiora. They even have two pavillions in case of downpours! Free bags in holders at both parks, several seats, lots of bins!

Dog exercise area
it's wonderful that a small town like Te Kauwhata has a fully fenced sizeable amenity with drinking water provided, for dogs. and fir humans there is a table and seating area. :-)

Petone Beach Dog Exercise Zone
Great dog walking spot. Big carpark opposite Bunnings. It's usually busy if the weather is nice. BYO balls or just pick up a stick for your dog. Plenty of large bits of driftwood along the way for having a seat and taking a break. Bags are usually available and rubbish bins are in several places. My favourite place to take my dog.
