Lovely spot for a quiet swim after work, I has a small carpark which made parking easy. At the time we went over Christmas it was closed for swimming but on other times it's good seclued spot for a dip

Lots of parking right by the beach, be careful when exiting vehicle as bike lane is right next to passenger side door. Tidy beach, beautiful views. Seating is average. More seating and picnic tables would be awesome. Lovely atmosphere, saw kayakers exiting, mostly people doing beach walks. You can swim there too. Nice and not over populated like Mission Bay beach.

Owhiro Bay Beach
Nice rocky beach on the south coast of Wellington that is dog friendly. There's an off street car park and an information panel about the marine reserve that stretches along the coast line here. Nice place to go for a walk with the dog.
