Raft trip outfitter

We spent the Christmas on the river with Simon as our guide on the 4 day trip. Highly recommended! Food was amazing, scenery was beautiful and everything was so well organized! We were lucky with the weather.

Having also done rafting only once before in my life, I was bit nervous about the activity. Luckily Rotorua Rafting did and amazing job and took care of everything, making me feel safe and comfortable throughout the whole process.We spent about two hours in the river, where we went to some rapids, descended waterfalls, swam in the river... You name it! They even let is go down a waterfall while swimming (no boat), which was a highlight for me.They even took some awesome photos and videos (both from inside the river and from a camera posted on the riverbank) to take home. I would definitely recommend this!

Great experience, with professional guides who know the river well. When the raft flipped, I knew what to do and stayed calm because of the safety briefing beforehand. Was in Hayley's team.

I have never rafted before and I am not a confident swimmer and felt safe the whole time, the crew can make it as crazy or as clam as you want !Cam was an amazing instructor and made sure we were all ok all the time excellent day will definitely recommend to others

White water rafting was something I've been interested in doing for a long time. So, when I found that Rangitata Rafts was only an hour away from where we'd be staying in NZ, I jumped at the chance to book a time for my husband and me. But I must say that never having white-water rafted before, this was the thing I was most nervous about. Level-5 rapids...the highest that commercial outfitters are allowed to go down. I didn't take that lightly, and most people I talked to here in the US thought it seemed a little risky.But, this turned out to be one of the best highlights of our entire trip. Dilly (Dillon) was such an amazing guide and for as nervous as I was before the excursion, I was never once afraid on the river. Dilly prepared our group well and he had so much experience and confidence navigating the river that I felt safe under his guidance. And going through the rushing part of the river was so much fun...sometimes I would just find myself laughing as water was gushing all around me. It was exhilarating, fun, challenging, and beautiful! The opportunity to not only see this amazing blue river, but be a part of it for a couple hours is an incredible experience not to be passed up.I'm attaching a few photos and here's what I love about them (go ahead and pre-purchase the photos, you get a discount and you are going to want the memories). Often when we are going through the rapids, Dilly at some point would tell us to hang on" or "hang on and get down

Fantastic place to be. My fourth time and always a highlight of a road trip. Staff, comfortable clean rooms, atmosphere and scenery come together for an all round experience.

Adventure

We had an amazing time on our Canoe Safaris 5 day guided tour and would highly recommend. The whole experience was awesome, from booking to finish the Canoe Safaris team were friendly, helpful and informative and fun! The 5 days on the river were more than we could have asked for, quality of equipment was great, the food/meals/snacks/drinks provided were delicious! And of course to mention our awesome and experienced guide Kenny who made the whole trip seamless and easy. The river journey itself was beyond expectations, with such beautiful views from every campsite, I would definitely book with Canoe Safaris again and hope to do so in future :)

Excellent service and unforgettable experience of rafting and fishing!I caught my first rainbow trout there! And no matter that the flies from the standard set that we were given were not particularly attractive for fish, but, fortunately, our guide was the best and shared their lures :)

I'm Hugh, an Australian travelling in New Zealand with family, we have staying in Tongariro for about a week and did white water rafting with Tongariro River Rafting on the 16/12/2022 (starting at 9am).My family and I couldn't of had a better experience, our skipper Sam was exemplary, a fun loving Kiwi who loved his job and wanted to give everyone the best time. The day was raining for the most part, but this created a picturesque mist and calmness and despite the weather forecast not looking great on paper, it was amazing and didn't impact our experience at all. All the gear was fantastic, all you needed to do was book and turn up. The three skippers were very skilled and great fun.I couldn't recommend this activity more based three main factors:1. It is amazing to see New Zealand flora and fauna whilst rafting, a beautiful and immersive experience.2. The company is clearly very well organised with fantastic gear, as well as experienced and fun staff.3. It is so much fun and good exercise!!You are also provided with photos and videos of our experience which has been great fun to review as memories (these are included with no extra fees).
