Vegan restaurant

It's such a sweet sunny lunch place in the uni. A bit tricky to find but definitely worth to search ;) Best Kumara fries and more delicious vegetarian food, can just recommend it! And everything is so cheap. It's the healthy alternative to a canteen. I already know what to try the next time.

The best raspberry cheese cake I’ve ever had.My partner & I had 3 plates between us, bird bowl, the Vietnamese crepe & sprouted toast.The bird bowl was incredible - & the sprouted toast too. But the Vietnamese crepe was not what we expected. The crepe itself was yummy with the sauce but the filling was just salad with 3 cashews. Very disappointing.And the staff not so friendly.Very trendy cafe

Wild Pear Kitchen is more than a plant-based cafe - it has spontaneously created a community of people seeking food that is fresh and alive.The New Plymouth cafe has tasty soups (the Thai pumpkin is the best I’ve ever tasted), a medley of fresh and colourful salads and delicious baked dishes (always changing) for vegans, vegetarians and people seeking healthy food options.The welcoming staff make you feel like you’ve come home for breakfast, lunch or just popped in for a coffee, hot chocolate or smoothie. For a treat, try a vegan donut, lamington or cheesecake - they are divine. This is easily my favourite cafe in Taranaki and in Aotearoa (New Zealand), not that I’ve been everywhere.

Unsure about the use of disposable plastic cups. Wasteful and looks cheap. As soon as I walked pass the door the server asked me for ID, which is fine, but then he went on to explain that I look like a child despite being there with my partner was a unnecessary and rude. Cocktails was average.

Tasty vegan food, fair prices, 3 gluten free options.We had the big smoke, cute chick (gf) and cheese bacon bites. Has parking, outside and inside seating.

Great place for coffee or even if you want to eat some great food. The oat flat white is awesome and their tea has an unique taste. I like the design of The Origin its very modern and you can see they put a lot of work into it.It’s also very quiet if you like to have a tea and study for a while.Staff is very friendly, Andy is awesome, highly skilled and always helpful.Highly recommended place!!!

Got a classic steak and cheese pie and it was probably the best I've ever had. The filling was the perfect ratio of tender beef chunks, gravy and goey cheese. They also did not skimp on the beef and the pastry held up well. It was just divine.

Away served fresh food.. we have channa bhatura, dosa but wasnt that crispy , filing was good. My fav one is their palak paneer fromShivani papatoetoe

Ian and Janet are real crafts people. Bread made from scratch, not some fancy mixture and 'just add water'. It really is the best bread you'll ever taste. The divine ciabatta is a personal favorite!

Fantastic coffee and delicious brunch!The oat milk flat white was creamy and perfect, one of the best I've had in gizzy. The waffles were light, fluffy and full of flavor. My waffles were hummus, tomato, mushroom, BBQ sauce, wife had the pesto ones, kids the cream ones. Everyone loved them. Super nice decor inside, outside was quiet on a Saturday morning. Everything we ate was vegan, but plenty of other vegan and nonvegan options were there.We'll return for sure.
