Cottage rental

This was a family trip to the Coramandel Peninsula and northern New Zealand. We were looking for a location in the country and this one was the most beautiful, interesting, and unique experience we could have asked for. This historic farm and home are amazing. The house is original to the property, but updated nicely in a very comfortable way and suited our group of nine. The nearby river was convenient for exploring and fishing. The location was close to Thames and was convenient for day trips to other adventures in the northern region. The property owner was wonderful and very responsive throughout out stay if needed. Best trip ever!

What an idyllic spot with sheep, trees, river, and a swing bridge - what's not to love? It was the perfect place to relax. The cabin was nice and comfy, I recommend this place. I'm glad I found it, we'll definitely be back.

Further to an earlier note I had posted, I went back to the Kauranga Valley again this year with Lorenza Devcich, to again look at the work she had continued to do on her family property. Its amazing wait she has been able to do with these building which hold so much history. My background is forestry and saw milling and to walk through the old family saw mill still with old documents attached to posts, tools in buckets etc etc, such a special place. The fact that the mill is quiet derelict adds more wonder to the hard work these people did to achieve their days work. The store set up I guess by Lorenza's grand parents to provide equipment and food to the gum diggers as they arrived in the Kauranga valley with the dream of going out into the forests to recover Kauri GUM"

I was made to feel like I was kind of in the way. Small and has all basics but needs a big spring clean.

We had a wonderful family stay at this cozy cottage in the woods. The peaceful surroundings and rustic ambiance made it the perfect as our first place in New Zealand. The kids loved exploring the nearby playgrounds, and we enjoyed staying outside the city but very close to all infrastructure. The owner was very responsive and helped with any issue. We stayed at the Wedderburn Cottages for one night as part of our Otago Central Rail Trail adventure. Our cottage was comfortable and clean. We’d gladly return. We loved the view of the sunrise over the valley.

Unit was clean and perfect for our family. The location is quiet which makes up for being a little way out of Paihia.

Stunning area. Location is brilliant, feels like you live in the forest. Kristy is an amazing host and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Really enjoyed our stay.
