Asian restaurant

If you are looking for a restaurant. This is not one. It is more like a sushi shop and you just eat on the tables they provided. We tried to order the braised pork and the korean bulgogi beef donburi but they ran out" by 12.30pm which is kinda weird. Anyway

This place is one of those places where it looks a bit rough but has THE BEST FOOD! You have to try the haienese (not spelled correctly) chicken rice. It is actually the best I’ve had in NZ and I have eaten it everywhere! Delicious food, good service and great prices!

I like the food from Hikari but my last order of vegetable tempura sushi on UberEats was a bit disappointing. It took over an hour to prepare and when it finally arrived, the tempura was rather soggy and had no katsu sauce.

Great food, reasonable prices, fantastic service. We don't live in Dunedin but always make a point of stopping here if we are coming through. Best Korean food around.

This was honestly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had (and I'm not hard to please at all). When we walked in, the restaurant was empty. We still had to wait an hour for food. I paid $26 for 4 small pieces of beef (which was meant to be vindaloo) and the sauce was extremely chalky. There was no rice included, and I had to share some from my sisters dish. Everyone that came in afterwards had a major waiting time and it was quite embarrassing that there was not enough staff present. The waitress was asking people to go up to the counter to order instead of taking orders at the table which was very unprofessional.Other ridiculous rules:- no sharing food.- charge of $2 for hot water- 80 cent for a take away bag.- $3 dollars for extra sauce.Over priced and ridiculous portion sizes. Would not recommend to anyone. One star simply for the fact that I can't give zero.

Had a great experience at Tham Nak Thai.The food and flavors were just perfect. The food wasnt too spicy or hot, instead it was perfect blend of natural flavors and spices.It was very oily or greasy (as some of the other places) and we didnt feel bloated afterwards.Prices are very reasonable too and staff was very courteous.Cannot fault this place.Highly recommended!!

Last night we ordered the hot and spicy noodle's , sweet and sour rice as well as some pork and chive dumplings - in total costing $65 (with delivery). The food quality was very poor and we were frankly very disappointed. The noodles were not spicy in the slightest (even after adding instructions to make them extra spicy) and the sweet and sour pork was largely fat and gristle, with what tasted like a very artificial sauce. I often like the cheaper sweet and sour pork you find in smorgasbord restaurants as it is a comfort food of mine, but this was just too much. It also had barely any meat compared to the rice that was served. After attempting to eat the meal, I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth and felt ill for several hours after. The dumplings however, were quite tasty. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish them after attempting to finish the mains. Overall, we were very disappointed in the quality of the food, especially considering the price point of the order.We gave it a rating of 2 out of 5 stars, with the only savior being the handy packaging and the tasty dumplings.
