Best pizza ive had in nz! Best way to test a good pizzaiolo is to order a simple margita. From crust to toppings everything was top notch. The place was booked out but the lovely waitresses let us wait on the reserved tables to stay out of the cold. And while we ate our pizza outside on the footpath like lil fan boys the owner came out and shared a lemincello with us. Great pizza. Great experiance

The food we came for was perfect. Traditional pizzas made with quality ingredients in wood fired oven.The two servers were very busy, annoyingly there is a constant stream of takeaways in the small venue so unable to take in the ambience & vibe.

First time trying these guysThe atmosphere is cosyStaff are very friendly & Super helpful!My 3 year old son loves garlic bread & they don't have this on the menu, but something similar the girl behind the counter said that they could still make one for meWe will definitely be back to dine in

Love love love this place and people! I’ve been going to Al Volo for years and it’s hands down the best and most authentic Italian Pizza you can find in Auckland. Thank you so much for creating such delicious food and serving it in a warm cosy atmosphere. Keep up the amazing work and see you again soon!

Yummy thin crusted pizzas with good toppings, not too sparse. Taste is also great.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be returning as we had a sub par experience.I appreciate most restaurants are currently short-staffed so wait times may be longer in general but it seems all the staff were new/in-training when we came for a late (8:30PM) Friday dinner and were quite inattentive.We stood at the door for some time before having to flag a staff member for a table. After being seated, our table was cleared but no menus were brought to us. After waiting 10 minutes, we went and grabbed our own menus from an empty table nearby.After another 10 minutes of trying to grab a waiter/waitress to take our order, one of us went up to the counter to try to place an order at which point they said they would come over.The food initially came out relatively quickly.1. Arancini balls were crunchy and delicious.2. Cotto Funghi pizza had lots of ham and mushroom topping.3. Al Volo was pretty good as well with lots of cheese.Then we got the lamb pasta, I tasted one and had to ask the waitress to take it back as the pasta was completely inedible - uncooked and hard.We had a replacement arrive a while later and the chef also came out to profusely apologise, stating he had accidentally taken the wrong pasta out of the water. I appreciate the apology and understand mistakes can happen but honestly, the pasta should’ve been complimentary at least for us to have been served uncooked pasta then wait an additional 30 mins for a new one to be made.In the middle of this, a waiter came out to ask if we had received our third - gamberi pizza which we had not and so this came out much later than the rest of the pizzas.The restaurant was not full. There were about 3-4 empty tables. The quality of service and food was not up to standard and it is sad we received such an experience given the high reviews here.

I love a good pizza and was looking for a good place to become a regular. Before Al Volo I have tried several pizza places in town and haven’t settle in one until I found Al Volo.Things what makes me to come back to this place:- delicious thin crust- variety of pizzas- easy online ordering system- gluten -free option is available and its great !- money vs quality very goodUsually order the same kind but tried about 3-4 different just out of curiosity. Really love Bruschetta pizza. Its nothing much really on it besides tomatoes and basil but it tastes soo good !Will be coming back again.When ordering online you might want to check as they add automatic tips in it. Not a big fan of that system.

Al Volo Pizzas are awesome, the pastas too. This is food made with pride & passion. I say this is Auckland's best pizza - certainly I haven't found anywhere else that even comes close. Eating in is a pleasure, takeout is a treat. Service is genuine, attentive & professional.
