Viet Thai Cuisine (Two Bamboo Restaurant)
This restaurant is fabulous. I have been many times now and each time their service and quality is taken up a notch. Casual diners are welcome to this relaxing venue. While their Vegan options a slim, they are budget and child friendly. In time I hope they add a Vegan Pho and vegetarian/vegan springrolls or other entrees. The photos are their vegan tofu Bao, the vegan Tofu, lemongrass & ginger stir fry, plus the non vegan wonton soup, deepfried banana dessert & chocolate sundae.

To all my Asian friends, this is NOT an authentic Asian restaurant. It's FUSION. Asian food with European twist. If you come looking for your homely taste, you're in the wrong place. Do try it if you're looking for some adventure and creativity. Personally I think it's okay because most of the food come with the same garnish. Pork belly is highly recommended and all the sauces are very well balanced. Lemongrass chicken like other reviews said, only has a very faint lemongrass taste to it. Ended up more like stir fry chicken..

We had a recommendation to check this restaurant out so off we trotted. Upon arrival we had a look at the menu and it looked good, the place was clean, staff friendly and quite busy. Then the food....it was just stunning. Fresh, tasty and diverse. All we both had was top notch but the Shanghai dumplings with Panang Curry Sauce was out of this world. I would go back just for these beauties. All in all a great experience and we’re certain to return.

This small shop in the Riverside market serves delicious Vietnamese food! The bun cha here is incredible. It has everything you expect from Vietnamese food: fresh, tasty with lots of herbs!

Saigon Taste
Saigon Taste is one of our family’s favourite restaurants. Whether you order in or take away the food is always excellent. It’s a family run business that is a part of the Wellington community. You really get a community vibe when you’re there. When it’s busy you might need to wait for your dish but it will be served piping hot and delicious. I enjoyed my Vietnamese coffee as well. If you like authentic Vietnamese food you should definitely try this place.

Had chicken pho and roast duck rice. The pho was good, plenty of chunky chicken pieces, but missing fresh herbs, lime or other sauce to relieve the heaviness. Duck was pretty good too.

DESTINASIAN
Having travelled in these regions I can honestly say it is authentic. Staff are friendly and the kitchen and food is exceptionally clean. Pork roll with the Chilli and all the trimmings is a must. The roll was warm, crunchy and crispy. Pork and prawn rolls on rice paper also beautiful and perfectly sticky. Will be back!
