Fabulously Asian. Lots of food, drinks and snack choices to choose from plus you have your fresh fish, meat, groceries in one convenient place. A bit less tidy than your usual western shops but that's what makes it feel familiarly Asian for the shoppers. There are also stalls that sells hot cooked foods. Try them all.

23Mar22 4.30pm There was a line of us late in the afternoon. But we were helped very graciously by two guys on the Costco staff. They walked up and down our line asking us if we had ID and proof of address. They were very friendly and helpful. They didn't just stand around. Every so often that go into the temporary office and bring out another pen or application form .. always smiling and offering advice. This augurs well for the opening of Costco's actual mega store next year.

I had a very unsatisfactory experience at Costco in Auckland today. Firstly, the prices were not significantly better compared to other stores. For example, the Japanese sesame sauce was almost identical to what I found at Pak'nSave. The selection of products was also quite limited. When I visited, they didn't have any chicken breast available, and the apples were moldy. The lemons had poor quality and were even worse than the ones at Pak'nSave, which cost only 0.99/kg. This level of quality is not what I would expect from a membership-based supermarket, nor is it representative of wholesale product standards. I must commend the service personnel at the entrance for their good attitude, but the cashier didn't say a single word.Now, let's talk about the food court. Firstly, the waiting time was unpredictable. I ordered a hot dog and ended up waiting for 30 minutes. It was a complete waste of time. Moreover, there were no available seats, and while waiting in line, a staff member rudely asked me to stand closer to the food court area, blocking the aisle. The queueing system was disorganized, and there should have been barriers to create order. Otherwise, you end up with a bunch of people crowding in front of the food court for 30 minutes, which is very disappointing.Overall, if you live next to Costco, it may be worth checking out for the occasional discounts. However, if you live far away, I strongly discourage going to Costco. Apart from meat and some specific imported products, there is no compelling reason to shop at this supermarket. Online shopping is a much better option, as it saves you time and delivers directly to your doorstep.

The Costco staff are nice and helpful. I rang the number and spoke to a staff. I also went to this address. It has been closed. So someone should report this. When at the warehouse where you applied the membership card. I can see the staff are passionate about the business. Their enthusiasm is so contiguous. In short, they really take pride in what they are doing that is helping customers and take the ownership of their work, which is not often seen.

Apparently their staff is not allowed to wear pounamu (necklace) a precious taonga that our natives/locals wear will even threaten their jobs if they don’t take it off , How culturally insensitive the manager (apparently foreigner) must be so unaware of the cultural awareness NZ is trying to implement to meet Māori needs . How discriminating , don’t come over here and take away the cultural values that this country upholdsFix it costcos !!!!

The variety, affordability especially on sales of produce, seasonal fruits and shops inside make it fun. Parking at the back available, accessible on the right side of building.

Visited twice now. Shopping is mayhem! Great if you bulk buy.But I was furious at the que waiting for our food! We ordered our food. And after a good 3/4hr wait ( we waited patiently, we could see it was very busy) . But the only order that wasn’t ready was my teen sons whole pizza. Which we were told , to go to the left of the window to wait to hear our number to be called.We waited another 1/2hr , heard our number & went to the window with our receipt , to be told , there’s a 15minute wait. ( which I thought was odd). So we went to wait behind some others. So we were not in the way. We never heard our number get called out again & after . But after half n hour , I approached the window again & asked about our number & the pizza ???? Only to be told , “ we called out that number, no one came, so it was given to someone else”!!!I replied “ What? Are you serious? We came up to collect it , & we told it would be another 15minute wait ( that was on top of the 1hr we had already been waiting!”To which the reply was … “ we called that number. No one came”(There was no sorry , no nothing!).But what hacks me off , is , we waited very patiently , all 3 of us were awear of how busy it was. So we didn’t want to seem impatient. But to go up to collect two out of the 3 items we ordered , & to be told to move to the left , & wait by the window for your pizza , ( which we did) and half an hour later , hear our number , go get it & be told it’s another 15mins wait! Then wait beyond that 15mins , go and ask about the pizza & be told , we didn’t come when it was called out??? No body called it out , or we would have got it!!!No offer to replace my money either!NEVER EVER AGAIN.Furious

It was quite easy to get the membership from here. There was a line and about a 30 min wait. We were able to fill in the form while waiting. It was fairly fast to get processed and get the card. We also got a free gift for becoming a member.

We often shop here but this is not the reason I am writing today. Our puppy has gone walkabout and ended up at Tai Ping. Kind staff members took her to the local vet, for the vet to check her microchip and she was returned to us safe and sound. Not only is this a really great place to shop, but staff members have gone above and beyond. THANK YOU.
