Conservatory of music

Thank you Maria for rescuing the Gottfried Lindauer that has been in my family for generations. The painting is of the White Hart Hotel in Taranaki which was owned by my great grandmother, then by my grandfather, and was the childhood home of my mother. Lindauer stayed at the White Hart sometime shortly after his arrival in NZ and made this painting before he became known. The painting is not only a treasured family heirloom, but also a small piece of New Zealand's History. In the 1960s my grandfather had the painting restored, but the job was poorly executed and resulted in some cracking and other significant problems. Maria's painstaking restoration has not only fixed these problems, but fully rejuvenated the painting! Maria, my family are very grateful for your expert and careful work which is beyond what we expected. It was also a pleasure to meet you! Thank you from all of us!

My 20-something year old Chris Bailey poem/painting is not fine art but it's unique and has great sentimental value. So when its flimsy paper started crumbling/splitting, I sought out an art restorer. I was lucky enough to find Maria and she did an amazing job in resurrecting it. My painting looks as good as new and is back on the wall. Thank you, Maria - you are very talented.

Maria was recently commissioned to restore a print with foxing. Maria is incredibly professional with both her helpful service and her restoration ability. I had a valuable painting with multiple fly dirt droppings and one spot where the paint layer had been worn due to abrasion. Maria did an excellent job of cleaning and restoration. She also applied a surface lacquer of her own formula which will protect the painting and make it easier to clean if this happens again. I have no hesitation in recommending Maria, I found her by word of mouth in the first place. She is clearly a professional and also great to deal with.
