I think they need more staff and also they send me emails about contacting them because I haven’t filed a IR3 even though I have already done that and received my refund....also takes a long time to get your donations tax...they need a more efficient system. Or more training for the staff...but I don’t know the ins and outs as I don’t know what they do I’m sure there is probably a reason.

Waka kotahi is an amazing government agency and so friendly and helpful. If I could, I would pay more tax so that the public sector can become more effective

Horrible service! I've been waiting weekly compensation for one month and it's still in process. No-one can say how long time will it take and when I could get my money. When we pay taxes, it happens quickly and automatically. However, when we need help, we must wait. This is bureaucracy at its worst.

Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children
First spoke to a lady who I could barely hear as kids where yelling in the background, very unprofessional. Then I was transfered through to talk to someone else. I have been on the phone for over 50 minutes and still no answer. This has to be the most unprofessional government service I have ever dealt with. Very disappointing and disgusted to hear the amount of funding they receive yet they cannot answer calls.

the most inept of all government departments. Myir is full of flaws and errors. how can i pay you what i owe when you wont let me pay it? YOURE A GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT, YOU SHOULD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO MAKE ANY KIND OF ERROR. your managers should be sacked for even allowing these mistakes" to happen and replaced with ones that instill a fear-based culture - after of course the sacked managers are subjected to 20 minutes of public screaming

The New Zealand Ministry of Health
This is a completely clueless and dysfunctional setup. They have no plans for anything and just come out with knee jerk reactions to situations once they start facing it. They seem to be more apt at keeping the general population completely confused with their decision making than actually solving problems. Their poor caliber and efficiency has become glaringly visible in these covid times. With each passing day they are making things more and more confusing for people to understand and follow. They give more excuses as to why things are not upto the mark than actually trying to solve the bigger problem. Pretty bad setup indeed
