Indian takeaway

Handi has become our go-to Indian takeaway on the Shore. The food is always authentic in terms of its Indian flavours, well-spiced & extremely tasty. The portions are generous & the service (in-house & delivery) is excellent. Highly recommended!

I don't usually write a restaurant review but this restaurant is the best compared to the rest of Indian restaurants in Dunedin and Invercargill. I ordered cheese and Naan bread and it's bigger and tastier, lamb shank with shiraz was delish. I feel like this is the most authentic Indian food here. Also, not overly priced!

What a lovely place to enjoy dinner on Marine Parade. The staff were exceptional in their service. The senior staff also showed great care in training their newer members which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Clever use of space having the kitchen upstairs enhanced the dining experience downstairs. The food was full of flavor and character. Thoroughly recommend. Will be back. Thank you!

Authentic South Indian delicacies.Please look out for the weekly specials and sure you will love it. Great taste and the portions are large . Do not miss their chicken dosa(it gets sold out super fast) and Winter special street style Sundal.

Last week we bought fried rice from this shop, it was amazing. There was no added color or chemical in it only the natural ingredients and natural spices added in to it. And the rice looked white. It was so good.We bought the same fried rice yesterday, it was horrible. The rice looked very dark brown. They added so called soya sauce in the rice, which I think it was not a quality sauce just some chemicals. And there are no natural spices added like before. After having it my whole body got inflammation,So I took couple of anti inflammatory tablets and going to doctors today.I don’t understand why they are not keeping consistency.Why government is not enforcing food safely. The substandard sauces, food color and materials making people very sick.I noticed that they use dark red color in the dishes as well.When I asked the shop owner about the red color, he said I myself do not eat food color, this is to make the food presentable.This food color need to be banned because it makes people sick. It can come in various qualities and it can be just deadly chemicals.

Honest review this for first time ordering here. There we're 3 cooks in the back area and 1 lady at the counter area. For a easy chip meal pack, the fish tasted very old like that very strong fish odor smell with the colour brown inside the fish, the chip meal pack was 'over Salted' had over powered the meal. Previous customer meals & rubbish still sitting there as the tables not cleared up straight away. There was a build up of customers waiting around for there orders outside and inside not space move around. My best review, have to say overall very low standard Kodurs Kitchen let down for place and not worth it for customers.

The reason they have failed to get ahead of their competitors , is their greed practice, to sustain profits. Their quantity is literally one third as compared with paradise. Look at the photo. The quality? Nothing special, worse. Cheap tactics, they use cheaper cuts like breasts for their chicken 65, which ends up much harder and tougher in dish. The prices are higher. Not recommended, go further 500 meters to other places. Naan was ridiculously raw, had to bin it, see photo.

That’s not chilli paneer (but they give it to me)I don’t wanna give even 1 star but i can’tAfter I call them they said to me that it’s good and if I explain this even further cheff said to me that it can’t be burn but it’s burn if you see the photo…. After that he didn’t accept his mistake….I am not personally share my view bt after I talk to them they said it’s good. After I explain what it’s like he didn’t listen properly and repeat same thing it’s good..Thanks
