Have you ever dreamed of learning to surf or stand-up paddle board? Here is your opportunity to learn how in fun and safe environment with all equipment supplied. Choose from our selection of surfboards and stand-up paddle boards (SUPs) from the beginner to the elite, plus 4/3 wetsuits and booties to keep warm - this equipment is also available for hire by those who do not require lessons. We are happy to cater to groups, such as school camps or birthday parties, as well. One of the best parts about our business is that we are mobile, so we can give lessons at the best surfing locations according to the weather, swell size, wind and tides on the day. Our usual locations include; Riverton Rocks, Colac Bay, and Orepuki. We welcome people of all ages to come and learn to surf with former New Zealand Womens Surfing Champion and accredited International Surfing Association (ISA) Level 2 Surf Instructor - Jess Terrill.

We've booked the lesson just half an hour before it started... coach Steve is really nice and knows what to do. You'll get plenty of time in the water. Before he teaches you the basics on land. Pictures for free which is awesome. Really appreciated it. Definitely book your lesson here!

Awesome time spent at Raglan Surf camp with very welcoming hosts Blake, Lucy and Dusky, Blake is a great chef and a highly capable surfer, Raglan is a cool town and offers great surf and even some kitesurfing opportunity’s. Highly recommended.

Hibiscus Surf School - Main Beach
Our whanau love the team at Hibiscus and we couldn't speak more highly of them! Not only are they skilled and professional, but they always provide a consistently amazing experience for our 3 children, (7-11yrs), of varying abilities, and regardless of surf conditions. They go above and beyond; some days after 4hrs of the wave programme, they've taken them for an extra swim/jump of the rocks. It's why we come back year after year.

UP Surf Coaching Raglan
I really enjoyed the course. Andrew was the man and a good coach. He shared some great tips on how to improve as a novice surfer. Also, the weather and my other class mates Soph and Dave were super nice and we all encouraged each other throughout the 3 days.I would definitely recommend this course to any beginners and novice surfers out there.
