3Nov16 I don't go into MacPac stores except on the rare occasion they advertise a sale that is too good to be true or I need something urgently. Knowledgeable staff at this Queenstown store. Friendly and thoughtful about products. Bought excellent, thin, Merino wool beanie hat. Just my colour: pink! Thank goodness there was 40% off the price.

Queenstown has numerous outdoors equipment shops but only Macpac had the product I was looking for.The Team gave great customer service - Hans from Argentina, Amber, Olivia and Henrika from Australia, and Lucile from France.Well done

i went there to get a softshell vest without knowing anything about softshell vests. i got perfect explanations and advise by this guy joshua or josh idk. totally recommendable place for every softshell and outdoor fan!

THIS is the place to go for your tramping & camping needs!! It looks like a small store from the outside, but they had more stock than any other location I visited. If anything, go for ROXY. She helped tremendously and was committed to making sure I left a happy customer. With a big trip to Mt Cook looming, I had no gear and LOTS of questions. I started at the Onehunga Macpac location - they were very helpful but unfortunately many of the items I needed were out of stock. No worries, they had this Ponsonby location put the items aside for me. In addition, Roxy special ordered my rucksack from the south island Macpac (for free). When I went to pick it up, she spent a lot of time making sure the fit was JUST right.Side note - Macpac has the best return policy of all the camping stores I visited (Torpedo7, Bivouac, Kathmandu, Mountain Warehouse)....60 days full refund with tags attached, no questions asked. This was a huge plus for me, as I was shopping around and didn't want buyer's remorse if I found something better elsewhere. I didn't, but I did end up returning a number of items just because I ended up not needing them.These guys are the absolute best. Their employees are passionate about the Macpac brand and it shows. Now I'm on TeamMacpac, all the way - the gear held up well on my trip and made it quite enjoyable. Can't wait to go on more long hikes in this great country! Thanks Macpac!!

Excellent customer service went in tolook a sleeping bags and ask questions as I didn’t know what to look for when selecting one. Super helpful and friendly walked out knowing a lot more than when I walked in.

Well located large sized Macpac store on Queen Street.Complete product range is always available here.There are specials going on at times throughout the year.The apparel and goods are great quality and built to last.The staff are nice and helpful.Click and collect is also available in store which is a great facility.Parking is at a premium given the location.

The staff are outstanding and very helpful. Made me feel special. Give them a raise please. The shorts I got where at half price and in my budget. I looked in 3 other shops and wanted double.
