My partner and I personally stayed here for several months due to the housing crisis and have witnessed alot of rascism toward NZ European and especially toward Maori people behind thier backs from the Indian owners.We also witnessed them use and abuse staff and pay them very little which they did so under the table. The cabins do not meet the healthy homes standard nor do they include a toilet or shower yet they are charging $350 per week to stay there. we paid a $700 bond upfront which they never lodged with the bond lodging services. We were told to pay our rent in cash each week which we complied with. We then found much nicer and much cheaper accomadation down the road and told the owners we would be moving out after they tried to increase our rent. They told us that was fine but when we returned to get our bond money back they refused to return it, basically saying there's no proof you have paid rent as you paid in cash!? We now have to go through tenancy tribunal court to claim this back and have since discovered stories from several old tenants that lived there that they had done the same thing to them in the past! The place is very run down and unsafe but all they care about is money clearly. The manager Dallas however is an awesome guy who keeps that place running and alive while he also has to put up with alot of rubbish.

Absolutely epic weekend away..Dallas and Punjeb was the most accomodaiting people. We had the most fabulous time with bon fires, hydrosliding, pool swimming and a super relaxing family time. Memories that will last an absolute life time. We will be back for a delightful time very soon.

This place is amazing Dallas the lifeguard was very friendly and accomodating. Our family stayed in the motel and we had a lovely meal at the pub. Two days of soaking in the hot pools, and soo much fun had on the hydro slide. Value for money, amazing family bonding, disconnecting from technology a rewind back in time.

Fantastic staff, lovely clean water and soaking in the hot pool, just bliss.Feeling completely relaxed and ready for another soak tomorrow before going home. I'm afraid that I'm too much of a wuss to go on the hydro slide though.Would definitely recommend this little gem of a place ❤️

Iconic little NZ hot pools. The hot pool is super hot and amazing for a soak and the waterslide is super fun.It’s not the flashiest place in the world, but it’s everything you could need and a cool little spot to visit.

the place is just as i remember it. it now has an old school retro vibe. pools were nice and relaxing, great temperatures. the hydroslides were great fun. staff were great!! cheers

The pools were clean and hot...perfect for a rainy day. Plenty of cover to sit in.These pools have had a long history of various issues but it is well worth the visit and I encourage people to come back.The Hotel is old and small, it to is coming back to life. We arrived for dinner when the power was out, no fire in the lounge so stayed in Sports bar for hamburgers. Just as thinking they were preparing in the bbq, the power came back on. Met some locals playing pool. All good. Over the years we had some good nights here.

Love this place. This is our Go To for a Hot spa, Swim and Hydro Slide with the kids it's absolutely Amazing Especially in the Cooler Seasons. Always leave Feeling Replenished Rejuvenated Renewed after a good soak. Nice Clean Water and Tidy facilities Always Enjoy our stay and Appreciate the Hospitality. Great value for your Bucks as most places charge by the hour which means Here you can Totally Relax and take your time without looking at the time and counting down the minutes, only thing is it's a mission tryna get the kids out when it's home time. Has so much character. We love it just the way it is. Highly Recommend.

It may look a bit run down however it’s amazing. The staff are amazing and friendly and everything is very clean. Water slides are well looked after and monitored by staff. Would highly recommend! Take food. Although they have a shop the pub next door doesn’t open until the afternoon so bring your own food.
