My wife and I did both the PADI Open Water as well as the advanced open water with Get Wet, and we had a great experience both times.Our instructor, Kiel, brings his own style to the teaching, relaxed and easygoing. But he is on top of things and will make sure that everything goes well in the end.They took us to Whitianga for the training on both occasions, for some lovely boat dives.The atmosphere on the boat was good, and Kiel was confident and clear with his instructions, we felt safe and at ease. Will book again with then next time!

I really appreciate their excellent service.I recommended it to my friend, then she got this amazing quality nz made wetsuit on sale too. Had the best time doing my Open Water with Dive HQ. Kalani and Ollie were out instructors, Tailo was our dive master - and they were awesome. Made the experience a lot of fun while at the same time being very professional. Highly recommend going to these fine people if you want to learn to dive!

Had a really great time on this dive course. Would recommend. It's a great way to potentially make new friends and learn a new skill. Was able to score a spot during a (mid winter) school holiday slot which meant we were able to knock out our PADI certification in four consecutive full on days. 2 at the pool and 2 up in Mathesons Bay. No issues about the cold really.Make sure you ask if Kalani is running the course. He's a patient and good teacher and gives clear and calm instructions (especially when its all underwater) - would definitely recommend learning with him.I know of other places that offer training where all of the gear and equipment is provided for you during the course. Unfortunately you'll have to bring or purchase your own dive fins, mask, snorkel and boots (gloves optional) for this one, so is important to consider any potential extra costs involved when booking in advance.

Absolutely amazing outfit! Gavin is a fantastic instructor, he knows what he's doing and keeps it calm and safe. The crew have their own confined water pool and the provided equipment is kept in excellent condition. They even managed to fit my open water course around my schedule. I couldn't recommend them more.

We loved our experience with this dive companie / shop. We have felt so welcome to them and got answers to all of our questions about the trip. First day in the shop we booked the trip and bought one dive watch where I got so much information and help from the stuff which was awesome.At the next day we went out for two dives at great mercury Island. Gear was really good quality and stuff was so patience to choose the right gear for everybody especialy with the wetsuits. On the boat we felt safe all the time and got some interesting information about the area and had an awesome fun time with them.
