Good engagement in general from Napier city council. Hopefully good decisions are made to improve the economy of Napier.

I called Tauranga City Council recently to fix a stormwater leak coming from under our shared driveway. The Customer Service team were friendly and very helpful and they passed my issue on to the relevant people quickly.A team came out the next day and assessed the issue, and then a couple of workers returned to start working on it that same afternoon. I popped out to say hi and they were also really friendly and informative. The team worked quickly and stopped the leak! They had to go underneath our driveway, and they did it with minimal disruption, even coming back again to make sure that their job was completed properly. They also sent a concrete mixer to fix the driveway.I know that Tauranga City Council gets negative comments on social media from a small group of unhappy people, and they're working hard to catch up after a period of quick population growth. They're genuinely working hard to make this city better, and even the smallest thing like fixing a leaking pipe makes a huge difference to people.Thanks for your help Tauranga City Council, from one very grateful ratepayer!

Pretty good council but still haven't sorted out water

Just trying to boost the ratings really. All councils seem to disappoint rate payers so I don’t believe this one is any different from the others.

Rude and arrogant staff towards the public - uneducated on people's right to film in the publicly accessible building. Security guard assaulted a member of the public and verbally abused them for filming. Christchurch City Council staff attempting to intimidate and provoke members of the public.
