Good Company Tours
We recently visited Dunedin and as we had limited time to see the city decided that a tour would be the way to go to see as much as possible. We definitely were not disappointed! The lovely bus driver picked us up from outside the information centre and drove us around the city for two hours, giving us a fantastic history of the city with opportunities to get out and take photos at opportune moments. We learnt a lot more than had we wandered around on foot! Would definitely recommend this company as a great way to see the city.

Good Company Tours
We found this company excellent to deal with. Sadly due to the stormy weather our cruise ship was not able to dock in Dunedin. A great disappointment for us but the company swiftly and fully reimbursed us. If we ever get to New Zealand again will definitely deal with them again. Thanks

We arrived on a cruise ship in February and had the most wonderful day with Good company Tours. We are booking them again for November 2018. Thank you to our wonderful Driver who was full of information and kept us all amused.

DON'T BUY THEIR TRAVEL INSURANCE.I bought a comprehensive policy online, and one week before departure I went into a branch to try and itemise a high value item. The branch immediately tried to dismiss me saying that if you purchased the policy online, you needed to do everything via internet or phoning the customer service team. After some convincing they agreed to hear me out. I intended to purchase one high value item (approx. $2000 NZD) whilst on my trip, and due to the higher value was hoping it could be itemised on the policy. Of course I was more than happy to pay extra for this. I was told that their policies DO NOT provide any coverage for any items acquired whilst on your trip. In other words, if you don't already possess an item when you depart NZ, it's not covered. No flexibility, no exceptions, no amount of money would insure my item.I also called their customer hot-line to verify this information and was told the same thing. What a joke. One of the best things about travelling are the treasures you acquire on your trip - how ridiculous for them to refuse to insure any of them? Even when you purchased their most comprehensive policy? I wonder how many people buy their travel insurance and are completely unaware that all of their purchases and duty-free shopping are UNINSURED.I went around the corner to their competitor. Explained the situation, they thought AA's stance was pretty hilarious, and informed me all of their policies cover items acquired during the trip. They also told me a $2000 item was fine, no need to itemise it. Bought their policy and travelled with peace of mind.No refund or sympathy from the AA. That's another long-time customer they've lost.

Ski Travel Specialists
This business might be great at providing package ski tours to North America,Canada or Japan but anything outside this they were not very useful at all.We wanted to plan a ski trip to Europe with travelling in between two weeks of skiing in different resorts. We found the agent didn't have the knowledge we were expecting from ski travel experts and was slow to respond to requests and didn't really understand the ski travel details or rental arrangements. On the ground arrangements were left up to us as we weren't just purchasing one of their pre-arranged packages. So like I said, might be Ok if you just want a package deal but for anything bespoke they just didn't have the knowledge we were looking for .

Unprofessional 0/5I had the unfortunate circumstance of corresponding with Edith Carpenter, the Co-Founder and Managing Director. My experience with her has been entirely unprofessional and rude with her (lack of) service provided.I was trying to book flights for August to which she booked flights in March, it wasn’t until I realised that the dates were wrong she would’ve confirmed the flights and wasted my time and money.Whenever I asked for clarification of her services/cost she would tell me “nothing to explain and it is very straight forward” or to reread the email. As someone who is unfamiliar which the travel industry or booking flights, you would hope that a travel agent would shed some light on the process. However, her attitude was demeaning and condescending and caused a lot of confusion and stress. My final interaction with Edith over the phone was distressing. The moment she answered the phone she was pointed and disrespectful. She had reduced my flight credit with a poor explanation as to why this happened and when I asked for a further breakdown of the situation she had the audacity to go off and yell at me about paying the difference and whether or not I had the financial capacity to. As I tried to explain to her that I wasn’t arguing about being able to pay for the difference she would constantly interrupt me. I was more than happy to pay the difference of the flight vs my credit, the principle is that I wanted to understand the situation better as the numbers and reasoning weren’t adding up.She then proceeded to manipulate me by saying that she had been so kind when dealing with my family and that she’s been through a pandemic so this has been stressful for her. This was completely uncalled for as the entire world has also been affected by the pandemic and I don’t think that as a client it is far off for me to ask for some level of service. Considering her status and role in the company you would think the Co-Founder and Managing Director would treat their clients with an ounce of respect and dignity.I would highly recommend using another travel agency and if I could I would give Planet Earth Travel a -5 rating.
