Indian restaurant

Dawat is a great place for dining on the taste of India. There was plenty of meat and nice thick gravy.The restaurant was well appointed with freshly painted walls and new flooring. The pictures added Indians scenes.There were lots of takeaways being collected while we were there.Go and give it a try. Easy parking.

Had a masala chai. But all I could prominently notice was Cummins seed sensation. Moderate expensive take away. The big fat guy who serves customers is like 50:50. Cnt say experience with him was neither good nor bad. But wasn't the worst. U may do some grocery shopping as well.

Handi has become our go-to Indian takeaway on the Shore. The food is always authentic in terms of its Indian flavours, well-spiced & extremely tasty. The portions are generous & the service (in-house & delivery) is excellent. Highly recommended!

Unashamedly, we have eaten Indian food across continents of the world, especially in India and Europe. The exceptionally well cooked and beautifully light food offered by Aroma vies, in my opinion, with some of the finest food of it's genre that I have ever tasted. I hope that it is suitably revered both by the inhabitants of the town and is visitors accordingly.

One of the best tastes restaurant of Indian food. Who are after great spices n food like home. Please go and try once. Worth visit and happy after having such a delicious food. Breads are super soft and light to digest.

What a lovely place to enjoy dinner on Marine Parade. The staff were exceptional in their service. The senior staff also showed great care in training their newer members which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Clever use of space having the kitchen upstairs enhanced the dining experience downstairs. The food was full of flavor and character. Thoroughly recommend. Will be back. Thank you!

Economical place compared to other restaurants considering the fact that this is a fast food joint. Don't miss out on their curry collections. They taste a little sour, may be because of fresh lemon juice. But great taste, great quality, always served hot! If you are in Te Aro around Cuba or Manners Street, you should definitely check it out! The pics I have included are of Saag Paneer and Daal Tadka. Haven't tried their naan yet. I keep my budget at $8 for brunch!

Great atmosphere, great food, but the portion is a bit too small for the price. Great place to try Keralan food, which is a province in South India.

Most probably the worse Indian meal I have every had.I tried the vegetarian roghan josh, I think it would have tested nicer out of a jar from the supermarket and the heat strength was delivered medium after I asked for hot.Had to ask twice for our drinks that came ten minutes after our starters.The manager was arguing with a staff member in the restaurant...never good!Tables either side of me were also complaining about their lack of service or wrong orders!3 people at my table and 2 thought the meal poor and 3 thought the service was dreadful.Never again!

Really great Indian restaurant in davenport. We just ended up going in as we were hungry after a little trek up mount Victoria. The place is smallish but has a nice rustic ambience. The food took a little while but it was certainly worth it and we were warned that it was quite busy so the food will take 20-30 mins.We ordered Paneer tikka masala, dal tadka and garlic naan. Both entrees come with rice as well. We had asked for hot ( spicy) and it was just perfect for our palette. The food was piping hot, the flavors really good and the naan was also nice and soft. They even boast a large drinks menu in case anyone wanted a side of wine or other drinks to go with the food.
