Lovely staff, friendly and attentive. Obviously very busy but not letting it effect the care they are giving me and other patients. Orthopaedic surgeon Josh was professional and friendly and I was made to feel at ease by the surgical nurses and anaesthetic staff. Lovely window view in the Cullen Ward aswell. Food has been tasty in both short stay and the Cullen ward.

I recently had surgery here and it was such a great experience. All the staff were so professional and accomodating (I wish I could remember more names!). But everyone who worked on me in the theatre was amazing especially the anaesthesiologist Caleb who had a great bedside manner and was very considerate regarding my fear of needles. Nurse Mona looked after me and she was very friendly and helped me feel comfortable post surgery. Overall, I was quite nervous but with staff this great I didn’t have to be!

Good caring staff but very understaffed. I was here last night as a patient, I waited about 5 hrs to be seen and bloods taken by a nurse, then waited another 2 or 3 hrs and still hadn't been seen by a Doctor and ended up going home because I couldn't bear the weight on my feet and legs any longer. Now I am back here been here a couple of hours and seen by nurse already but now face the dilemma of waiting to see a Doctor again. There are a lot of people here waiting so I'll wait, be patient and hopefully I might get seen soon.

Definitely a 0 star for the service they gave me on the 5th of March 12am to 3am. I was in 10/10 pain and was struggling to breathe or sit still because my body was in agony with severe fever, overdose, and possible tonsillitis. All the nurses had absolute no empathy whats so ever and did not even bother to give me pain relief after I walked up to them and asked for pills which was just sitting on the desk. Took my blood sample then waited 2 hours and no notice was given unless we asked and resulted in going home with little to no help. Horrible staff, rude customer service from 3 Filipino nurses. I was also almost vomiting outside and rolling on the ground because the pain and nausea was very strong and all they did was put me in a wheelchair inside and measured my heartbeat after going outside again to try vomit. I do not recommend anyone who is in severe pain to go to the emergency center and recommend going to Starship or the Auckland city hospital.

Having had a bicycle accident on Waiheke and needing emergency care and surgery, I received amazing care from everyone involved with me, especially the staff on ward 9. As a senior nurse from England I am very impressed with the service. I might apply for a job!! Thank you

No words to thank the team at the hospital, during my last stay and now every nurse and doctors had been so supportive ❤️ I know I get stubborn and not take medication or eat much but the nurses are there for me.Even I had bad days they come and try to cheer me up so that I don't feel low. They work so hard in all different shifts. These guys are awesome and they care

Just want to acknowledge the nurses in the gynae ward for their care while I was in there two different times over the last month. I especially want to mention Nurse Charlotte while I stayed, both times she was so genuinely caring and is a credit to the hospital. I felt really listened to and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients so please pass this on to her, (she will probably remember me as the dog groomer who unfortunately ended up having covid the first time I was in which prevented my surgical procedure from going ahead so I had to come back a few weeks later to have the surgery). All the staff I had dealings with both times I was in were amazing, the doctors orderlies etc and made me feel safe and looked after. Thanks so much!Hayley.

I take my hat off to Caroline the receptionist who was working today Saturday 07/01 on front desk upon main entrance. Lovely service and welcoming and also very helpful. Thank you for keeping us calm and making it a smooth entrance.I also would like to applaud Jonie the RN at Surgical ADU on ground floor who was very attentive, communication was on point, friendly and made us feel at ease during our mothers stay at hospital. Thank you for your amazing work and heart for our people! And for always keeping us in the loop on what was happening or what was about to happen next.

My husband was admitted here and stayed for about a week. The staff at Waikato hospital were extremely helpful and caring. All the nurses, doctors, administrators, cleaners, meal deli erers, orderlies were so lovely. He was moved to the Elizabeth Rothwell building where the awesome care continued.A massive commendation to his Doctor, Joseph Linyana. Such a humble considerate young man.My husband kept referring to him as doctor and he replied to say just call me Joseph. He took the time explain and make sure we understood every procedure that my husband would need to undergo. We were both extremely satisfied with the hospital care.Thank you Waikato Hospital.
