Exceptional staff, especially considering how packed and busy these guys usually are. Had an incident where I had mistakenly parked in a wrong spot at the adjacent parking lot and a staff member (Kelvin) actually personally came to advise me to move my vehicle while taking verbal abuse from the owner of the lot. Top bloke.

The process of getting a birth certificate is shocking no phone line to call anymore, what is up with the services when it comes getting birth certs. Really slack.. No stars

Law society complaints service is a scam. around 90% of complaints end with no action taken (their website statistics) Only evidence that favor's the Lawyer is accepted.

I have just visited the IA department Parnell to request an appointment to apply for citizenship. Face to Face appointments are unavailable. Applications online only. If online is not an acceptable option, how can an application be made? What has happened to Customer service? Is this a government department working for the people?

2 stars because they reply to their emails, time frames have NOT improved with all the extra staff and automated checks still not able to clear backlog. Overpromising delays will ease, more staff devoted to clearing old system, zero improvements. Applied in Dec 2021 its Jan 2023 and still not allocated to a case officer. Its a circus, although I apprecaite the staff feedback and situations outside of their control but waiting 14months to receive a decision is absurd. I can not believe NZ calls it self a 1st world country with 3rd world problems. Time frames have NOT improved, automated checks has NOT reduced anything but delayed it. Processing still take 19months, how can this be an improvement form what it was an year ago. Its sad, very sad to see NZ incompetent in processing citizenship to 1000's of hard working tax paying immigrants living here for more than 7 years.

Absolutely disgusting service. I paid and ordered birth certificate and I got charged $70 for two Absolutely same birth certificate when I specifically said I wanted one changed with parents name. Rang the 0800 number and line was disconnected then rang wellington office and waited 2 hours on call and no one answered,then rang next day and same thing waited for 3 hours on call and no one answered.Sent them two emails still no response. Money making is it home affairs of NZ ????? Don't have any value for people. Absolutely unprofessional service. If I could rate 0 I would give them a big 0.

Kept waiting on a call for over an hour and still no one answers, on more than one occasion. Surely it’s not that difficult?

Maybe try to pick up the phones for once?? Been calling 5 days in a roll nobody answered. Are your phones just for office decorations?

Worst government services. Have tried numerous times to talk to someone and nothing. You can’t even go to their office without an appointment but how can you set the appointment???
