The food quality is getting worse day by day.. we ordered few items including tandoori platter and Chinese platter.. tandoori platter tasted so much like refined oil but we still ate and Chinese platter tastes disgusting they have added sooo much sauce and noodles and rice didn’t taste fresh at all & we decided not to eat the Chinese platter. We went downstairs to talk the guy at reception and he called the chef.. we discussed our experience with him and chef started argue with us.. He first mentioned they are using the fortune oil and after 2 mins he said we’re using mustard oil. He also mentioned they’re not using any kind of sauce in their Chinese platter and we can tell it was a big lie.. we also asked why the food was too red he said we’re using sweet and sour sauce well he himself was changing his own statements!!! A total rip off and the food quality is really bad.. I wish I can give 0 or -ve star to this review.

A good one. We tried Roshogolla (Rasgulla), Kalojam (Gulabjamun), Dahi-puri (Doi Fuchka) and Chole Bhaturey. We loved the tastes of all the foods. It's very authentic. The sweet items will give you the real (almost) taste of Indian cuisine. It's not full of Kewra & Rose water which is nice. The Dahi-puri was served nicely with 4/5 different sides, full of variations of flavors.The management is a bit down, not attentive to the customers. Serving was a bit unprofessional. Our dishes were served without any napkin/tissue papers. Toilets were not cleaned.The food price is reasonable. A good place to try without spending a lot of money.The location is good, in the middle of the central city of Christchurch. Therefore you may find it a bit tricky to find a convenient place to park your vehicle. Road side parking is not very expensive, $2.00 an hour.Overall experience is good, not bad. We will visit again as we are big fans of Indian sweets. Thank you :)

Came by to grab some buns for a shared lunch. We grabbed a few different ones and there were so many to choose from. All sound interesting and tasty. The one I was interested in was the egg yolk bun and the taro one.Both were slightly disappointing. The filling was very thin and lacked flavour. The bread was nice but without the nice filling, it's just bread.

Don’t just drive past this cafe food fantastic staff are great and you will not be disappointed.I had the corn and cheese roll it was magnificent and all the food looked fresh and the coffee was great.The staff seemed really happy to be there and it comes across in the service.Seriously don’t drive past without giving it a go.

We were on our way to Queensland from Te Anau when we encountered a major road closure due to a flood in Southland on 4 February , 2020. After several hours of futile detours, we fled to this quiet little town and were really fortunate to be accommodated in a cabin with a heater and heated blankets. We are grateful for what had been offered to us . A million thanks !

Friendly staff, wide range of sweets and drinks from all areas of the world.Pies sometimes can be a bit cold, but that's because they sell so many they're always restocking

We order meduvada sambhar and nutrikulcha ,both are not fresh and if you doesn't know about south indian food test don't served to customers. Food quality going very worst.

This time 0/5 due to some reasons:I went in last month the quality and everything was good as usual.But yesterday’s food was not up to the mark.1:the prices for everything has drastically gone upThats not even a problem if the taste & quality of the food is good.But the quality & taste of food has gone low & prices really high.Really disappointed. Probably not going back
