I was looking for a selection of books on a very specific topic. The lovely ladies from Dorothy Butler books were incredibly helpful, sourcing them for me, ordering them and couriering them out to me. I am so grateful for their help and would recommend them to anyone. If you need help sourcing a book, Dorothy Butlers is the place to start. You won't need to go anywhere else.

Purchased a personalized book for my niece for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. I absolutely loved the book and could not wait for her to see it. It was pure joy as she slowly realized all of the cool things such as her name and her doggies name being a part of the story. I did A-ok this year. Many thanks to The Kids Book Company for making her very happy this Christmas.

Their kids section is really mint. Great range and really nice staff, who were very kind to my overly enthusiastic children. Really hard to stop them treating the place like a library and taking every book.

I've heard about this book being a best seller in Europe and googled how to order in NZ. It was a pleasant surprise that the book is actually for sale in NZ. Picked it up today and was amazed by the quality of the print, illustrations and the scent. The book is fantastic! The scents are very pleasant and non toxic. I really really liked it!

This bookshop thrums with energy. People may find the browsing a kind of contact sport at times given the size of the shop and the constant flow of customers but it only adds to the charm. The owner darts around the store, managing staff and helping customers. You feel like a member of an orchestra in which she's the maestro conductor. They're pretty good book hounds too, I almost enjoyed watching them hunt a book down in the store more than finding it myself. I've heard they're pretty good at ordering things online too. The final testament to this shop is how freely they recommended the 2nd hand bookshop nearby when they didn't have a title. Love the community spirit.
