Middle Rock Farm Tour & Farmstay
Fabulous farmstay, warm comfortable and very well appointed large cottage and two additional cabins, slept 13 of us. Authentic high country sheep farm setting, and wonderful hosts Lyn and Bruce. We loved the farm tour - and the home baked scones - thank you. We hiked, we toured the area and relaxed, plus we enjoyed champagne down by the Rakaia river at sunset. Loved it and thoroughly recommend a stay at this lovely spot.

The experience with the cute little alpacas was soooo great!!!We spent a lot of time petting those cutest alpacas and had a calm and happiness memories with the adorable creatures. By the way the tour guide , Lydia was so nice and knowledgeable.Really enjoyed this trip!!!

Middle Rock Farm Tour & Farmstay
We spent 2 nights in the shearers quarters. We have stayed quite a few times now. Highly recommend close to Mt Hutt, lake Coleridge, lots of fishing, and walking tracks in the area. Lyn is a great host always looks after us and the shearers quarters is a home away from home. Everything you need is there.We will be back again

Firstly just have to say the location itself is just stunning, gorgeous. We were taken on tour by Frank, one of the owners and Charlie the hound who I absolutely fell in love with. As for the Alpacas they were just beautiful, such gentle creatures living the best life on this farm. Frank’s tour was very interesting and he was happy to answer lots of questions - Thankyou so much Frank and Charlie it was wonderful to meet you!

The alpacas at the farm are not only adorable but also very well-cared for, appearing healthy and fluffy. A visit to see them is definitely worth it, especially with the friendly staff who provide detailed explanations of their various types and habits

Very fun tour. The owner and the guide lady were very nice and informative. Learnt a lot about the farm history, alpacas life, especially the mothers and the babies. Alpacas are so cute. Their furs so soft!
