This is a very nice hall with some pretty good seats. I was sitting at the very back on the stalls section (~EE40) and still had a decent view of the orchestra. Facilities was very good with a variety of food and drinks during intermission and restrooms nearby.

Clarence St Theatre
This is a great theatre in our community. They are able to accomodate over 500 people. They have a good sized bar, selling drinks and snacks. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The seating is not fixed, so you don’t feel trapped in cramped seats. We have been to see kids shows here, stand up comedy, and quite a few plays as well. Always feel welcome and comfortable. Parking is not too bad. I often park on the street nearby. As long as you get there early it’s not normally an issue.

Earth Beat Festival NZ
Earth Beat is a good time but they need to hire more crew because the infrastructure and staff levels are below what they should be for the number of people who go. Too many small things happen like undrinkable water from the water source, muddy areas, big gaps between music acts. Also, for a community pitch festival the vendors like reiki or massage are really expensive and it feels too commercialized with so many vendors. If you want to paryty Earth Beat is not the festival for you. It has lots of music but the effort put into the sound and lights is low for the amount of people. They also let kids run free which causes issues with kids going through other peoples camps. Most family festivals say kids have to be supervised but not here. If you dont mind that then its no problem.Earth Beat has a potential to be great but they cut corners and it doesnt help. if they fix that then it could be great.

Travelled from Rotorua to the theatre in pouring rain to see Chicago" today. Absolutely fabulous show - excellent dancing and singing and made to feel most welcome. Will be back ... oh and the trip home? The rain just kept coming down."
